Despite all of the Clinton apologists, the former President got in trouble because he lied under oath and used federal resources to obstruct the law.
It wasn't sex. It was perjury and obstruction of justice.
This is why Clinton lost his law license in Arkansas and paid a $95,000 fine to a federal judge who didn't appreciate his behavior in the court room.
Monica didn't get him disbarred. It was Clinton's reckless disregard for the law.
Now let's talk about Edwards.
Again, I don't care about Edwards having an adulterous relationship.
Yes, it's reckless. Yes, it's hurtful to his cancer stricken wife but it is a personal matter. At the end of the day, it's between them to settle this thing.
Edwards may find himself in trouble because of alleged payments to "the other woman":
"Dallas lawyer Fred Baron, who helped bankroll the former North Carolina senator's presidential run, told The Dallas Morning News that he paid for the woman, Rielle Hunter, to leave Chapel Hill, N.C., because she was being hounded by tabloids."
For Edwards' sake, let's hope that no one was using campaign funds to keep Miss Hunter away!
If some one did use campaign funds then this is not about "extra marital sex" anymore!
