The 7-16 Rangers are now the 16-20 Rangers. They are 9-4 since that terrible road trip in Boston and Detroit.
Last night, the Rangers pitched their consecutive shutout. They have gone 31 innings without giving up a run:
"The shutout stretch is the second-longest in club history, bettered only in the final four days of April 1981. Then, when gas prices averaged $1.38 a gallon, the Rangers had four consecutive shutouts and went 39 straight innings without allowing a run." (Durrett)
Are these the Rangers that I was angry with a couple of weeks ago?
Keep it up guys! I love well pitched victories!
