Today, he got the endorsement of Moveon.org!
This is the same Moveon.org that went after Joe Liebermann in 2006.
They are also the same ones who ran the Petraeus ad last September. (23% Approve of MoveOn.org Petraeus Ad, 58% Disapprove)
It's a free country but I don't think that this endorsement is going to unite the country, unless you think that voting patters since 1968 were a historical aberration.
US voters have rejected liberalism in huge numbers since '68. Carter and Clinton won by telling us that they weren't liberals. Clinton formed the DLC in the 1980s to drive the party to the center after the Reagan landslides. Where in the world is this yearning for liberalism? I don't see it!
Looking back, Moveon.org failed in defeating Liebermann!.
Also, they have fumbled totally in stopping the war in Iraq.
In fact, the Dems' congressional leadership has gone silent on Iraq. (Iraq: Dems' Dreams Dashed? )
Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama have been reduced to arguing about who said what in 2002. They have not provided a detailed plan about getting out of Iraq.
My guess is that they don't have the courage to say that they will follow Bush's steps in Iraq. Also, the Dem audience doesn't have to courage to see that they are being lied to big time.
Obama and Clinton are lying to their supporters about Iraq but the supporters don't care. They hate Bush so much that they will believe anything, including a huge lie about Iraq.
So here we are. Moveon.org endorses Obama! The angry left is on Obama's camp.
Can Republicans be so lucky?
