Hillary Clinton on "Meet the Press"
Hillary Clinton answered every question by saying: Obama said this and Obama said that! I don't think that's a good strategy. (Hillary Clinton attacks Obama) She won't win the crucial African American vote in South Carolina by doing that.
Now, let's get into the interview.
First, it looks like political correctness is now kicking liberal butts.
The Clintons, and their liberal friends, are now getting a taste of what happens when you speak openly.
To be fair, I don't think that the Clintons are racist. Yet, the liberals have always played the racist card before. They used it against Sen. Lott of Mississippi when he made a meaningless remark at a birthday party.
The "libs" are now getting a taste of their own political correctness. It's funny to watch what happens when a white liberal argues against a black liberal.
At the same time, it is interesting to see Clinton-istas dropping hints such as Obama's middle name (Hussein), his alleged drug record, his faith (is he Muslim?), or that he is too much of a lefty! (Clinton: Obama's Too Liberal)
I can't believe that the Clintons had nothing to do with this! If they didn't, the Clintons need to hire some new advisers because the current crop is not helping them by saying these things about Obama!
Second, Senator Hillary Clinton is beyond belief when she speaks about Iraq.
According to Sen. Clinton, the Dems are responsible for all of the good news coming out of Iraq.
It goes like this: The Iraqis are afraid that Hillary Clinton will remove the troops so they decided to cooperate. The Petraeus strategy had nothing to do with it.
Al Qaeda is afraid of Hillary! (Hillary ... I am the reason the surge as worked!)
To say the least, this is a total insult to the guys over there who've driven Al Qaeda out of Iraq. Every soldier should be appalled to hear this nonsense from someone who should know better.
Third, on the war vote, she claims now that she voted for something else.
Why didn't she stand up in March 2003 and say that? In fact, two weeks before the war she said this to The Pink Ladies: Watch the video!
Pay special attention to what Sen. Clinton said about our allies:
"With respect to whose responsibility it is to disarm Saddam Hussein, I just do not believe that, given the attitudes of many people in the world community today, that there would be a willingness to take on very difficult problems, were it not for the United States leadership, and I'm talking specifically about what had to be done in Bosnia and Kosovo where my husband could not get a Security Council resolution to save the Kosovar Albanians from ethnic cleansing.
And we did it alone as the United States, and we had to do it alone.
And so I see it somewhat differently. So forgive me for my experience and perspective."
Remember that when Sen. Clinton says that we must go around the world and repair our image! It turns out that Sen. Clinton didn't have a very high opinion of our allies either! The Clinton administration couldn't get the UN to do anything about anything either!
In fact, Sen. Clinton has been dancing around her war vote until the 2008 primaries. Her initial strategy was to say nothing and go into a general election strategy. She couldn't and has been forced to defend her record against Edwards and Obama.
Question: How can any serious person believe this woman on Iraq?
I can't.
At least, Sen. Edwards said that the war vote was a mistake. Sen. Clinton won't say that.
The MTP appearance highlights the candidate's problem:
It's credibility, stupid!
