I will not vote for Senator Obama in November. However, I want him to be nominated for several reasons:
1) The country must be disinfected of the Clintons. I guess that I am not the only one who's grown tired of the Clinton's soap opera. (It's the Clintons, stupid) (It's the Clintons, stupid, part 2) What won't these Clintons do or say to get elected?
2) Obama will run as a liberal. He will stand up and give us a choice. It's time for a referendum in the US just like the one that they had in France. It's a lot easier to vote for someone, or against someone, who tells you where he stands. In simple terms, let's have a committed liberal like Obama face off against a conservative like Romney, McCain, Guiliani or Thompson.
On a personal level, Obama is a decent guy. I loved his Christmas ad. I love the family image that he presents.
My guess is that it won't be easy for Obama to win the presidency or to govern as a liberal. Nevertheless, I do like the fact that he is a stand-up guy about his liberalism.
P. S. Two more newspapers have endorsed Obama. The Nashua Telegraph and The Dallas Morning News! I agree with these editorials that Obama has a better chance of working with Republicans than Clinton. Why? Because Obama is a man of his word and does not read polls with his morning coffee!
