Wed's show: Allan Wall and a review of the situation in Mexico!
Today, we spoke with Allan Wall, our friend in Mexico and frequent guest. Allan writes for Mexicodata and gave us an update on the situation south of the border.
It does not make the world's front pages. No one calls it a war. Yet, the war to our south is deadly:
"The death toll continues to mount. The Mexican government estimated that 2,350 people have been died so far this year drug-related violence in Mexico. The majority of the dead have been killed in "turf wars" among drug cartels." (Getting Ready For War)
We also discussed Mexicans thinking twice about U.S. jobs, survey finds, an article that appeared on today's Dallas Morning News. It suggests that Mexicans are finding it more difficult to come over.
