Friday and another great jobs report!

It's going to be another tough morning at the "doom and gloom" meeting over at The NY Times. It won't be long before management declares a suicide watch on Paul Krugman, the nation's "doom and gloomer"! (Despite the Gloom, More Bush Boom By Lawrence Kudlow)

The US economy just proved the experts wrong again. Shouldn't we get different experts? After all, what would you do if your experts were always wrong?

Let's check out some numbers:

"Employers boosted payrolls by a surprisingly strong 166,000 in October, the most in five months, an encouraging sign that the nation's employment climate is holding up relatively well against the strains of a housing collapse and credit crunch." (October Payrolls Grow; Unemployment Rate 4.7%)

How can this be? All we have heard is doom and gloom since VP Gore couldn't win Tennessee!

What's going on? The US economy is the greatest in the planet. Of course, there are problems, such as the foreclosure crisis. On balance, we are doing just fine, unless you are still counting votes in Florida!
