Can some Dems afford to see success in Iraq?

At some point, we have to be honest about Iraq. As I wrote before, 2006 was a disaster. A change was needed. A change was made with Gen. Petraeus and a new strategy. So far, it is working and working well!

"So to sum up, two of the largest insurgent groups who were killing Americans a year ago are now our allies and engaging al-Qaeda in stand up fights and coming out on top. They are cooperating with the Iraqi government and the Americans in taking back their country from al-Qaeda thugs. The Democrats better get busy with their surrender agenda. Pretty soon, it may be too late."

This is good news! Do some Dems have the courage to see it?

How They Did (It Executing the winning strategy in Iraq) by Kimberly Kagan details the incredible work done by young men and women over there.

It's OK, but a bit late, to argue about going to war. It was OK a year ago to question our strategy. However, it is blind dishonesty today to question the results. As Bill Kristol said:

"Any serious person has to be rethinking his position going forward in that light. No Democrat is doing any such rethinking, however. What Democrats are doing now is, in effect, denying evident success. And, by continuing to push for a withdrawal timetable, they are trying to prevent further success."

We are winning over there. Yet, too many Dems are acting like victory over there will mean defeat over here.
