Lt. Murphy, a great American hero!

Lone Survivor by Mark Lasswell is a great article about Lt. Michael Murphy, an American hero who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. We know the story of Murphy's heroism because of a fellow Seal, Marcus Luttrell.

In his book, Luttrell relates Murphy's last hours and he saved so many others:

"Lt. Murphy, bleeding from a stomach wound, "groped in his pocket for his mobile phone, the one we had dared not use because it would betray our position," Mr. Luttrell writes.

"And then Lieutenant Murphy walked out into the open ground. He walked until he was more or less in the center, gunfire all around him, and he sat on a small rock and began punching in the numbers to HQ."

Why won't Hollywood make a movie about Lt. Murphy?

On Monday, Pres. Bush presented The Medal of Honor to Lt. Murphy's parents. It was a great tribute for an American hero! See Born to serve: The Michael Murphy story! See In honor of Lt. Michael P. Murphy
