Thursday show: Why are Dems freaking out over Iraq?

On Thursday, we looked at various issues. Our guest was Don Surber who has been writing about the Dems freaking out over Iraq. Read Joe Wilson speaks! (Trust me, he is not talking about Valerie's pathetic husband!)

Click the radio icon to the right and listen! This show will be available all weekend. By the way, we spent a few minutes talking to our friend Captain Ed from Minnesota. (Captain's Quarters ) Ed gave us a first hand look at that terrible bridge tragedy.

"Like the Copperheads of 1864, Democrats today think defeatism is their ticket to political victory. Like the Copperheads after Sherman captured Atlanta, they may be in for grave disappointment."

"If their calls for retreat gain no support from the electorate, perhaps they will change the subject to another of their favorite misconceptions, to wit, the economy is going to hell.

Actually, the economy is chugging along in a healthy and protracted period of growth.

For the past five years, per capita gross domestic product has grown at 11%.

We are living through a vast global economic boom, and the Democrats seem completely unawares.

In 2008 their presidential candidate will be moaning that we have lost a war and are economically in a hell of a mess.

The Republican will only have to point to a healthy economy and the success of General Petraeus's splendid army to win.

Then the Democrats will whine that the Republicans stole the election from them.

That is my prediction, and I base it on the evidence."

P.S. We had a great response to our show with Rick Johnson about fatherhood! Click here to listen to that one!
