If I was a Canadian, I would ask VP Gore a simple question: Why didn't you fight for Kyoto? Why didn't you fight for ratification? Why did the treaty proposal sit on Pres. Clinton's desk for the entire second term.
The answer is simple: Clinton couldn't get 2 Democrats to vote for it!
In fact, someone should reprint George Will's Inconvenient Kyoto Truths:
"Fine. President Bush should give the world something amusing to watch. He should demand that the Senate vote on the protocol."
Let's have it. Let's have an up and down vote on Kyoto as well as the implementation of Gore's "green agenda".
Iraq. Gun control. Same sex marriage. Kyoto. The Democrats love these issues as long as they don't have to vote "yes or no" on them. This is why we call them the party of "non-binding resolutions"!
