You can not believe a word from the Cuban government. Val Prieto of The Babalu Blog has a great post entitled Another Cuban Government Lie:

In the general panorama of the Americas, only Canada has a lower rate than Cuba.
Of course that number is extremely low because Cuba has the highest abortion rate in the hemisphere, with 58.6 out of 100 women aborting their pregnancies; 209,900 abortions per year with the number of abortions that would be experienced by the average woman during her reproductive lifetime, given present age-specific abortion rates at 2.33."

Check the pictures! This is what the left calls a socialist paradise. Of course, most leftists don't live in Cuba. They enjoy talking about the virtues of Castro's Cuba in the coffee clubs of the capitalist West!
