The Democrats, young boys and The Boy Scouts!

Let's recall the story of The Boy Scouts, one of the nation's oldest and finest youth organizations.

This point is relevant given the "shock" coming from the Democrats these days. Again, Foley is a jerk but I find the Dems just a little sickening.

A few years ago, Nancy Pelosi and the national Democrats declared on war on the Scouts.

Why? Homosexuality! Specifically, openly homosexual Scout leaders! The homosexual wing of the Democrat Party forced the leaders to take such a position. This is the same wing forcing the party to say that "same sex marriage" is a civil right!

How much do these people care about young boys? Read on.

According to a Friday story in the Washington Times:

"Support for homosexual rights has become an integral part of the Democratic orthodoxy, as unassailable as the party's pro-choice or civil-rights planks.

"Since the Supreme Court ruled that the Boy Scouts can ban homosexual leaders, the Democrats have sided squarely with homosexuals in condemning the decision."

What about Politicians v. Boy Scouts:

"To understand America's splintered politics, look no further than a little-noted amendment last week in the U.S. Senate. Forty-nine Senators voted in favor of discriminating against the Boy Scouts of America.

Not too long ago such a vote would have been unthinkable. The Scouts were traditional American icons, like baseball and July 4. But recently they have become the political target of liberal elites because they refuse to allow Scoutmasters who are openly gay. A year ago the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Scouts' First Amendment rights to hold those views. But liberals from New York to Florida's Gold Coast have since taken to exacting retribution by banning Scouts from meeting in public schools."

Am I supposed to believe that these Democrats care about young boys? As a father of 3 boys, let me say categorically "NO"!
